Ask Ad Manager
Google's first AI agent for publishers — troubleshoot ad delivery, pull reports, and navigate Ad Manager by asking.
Ask Ad Manager (beta, June 2026) is a Gemini-powered agent built directly into Google Ad Manager — Google's first AI agent for publishers. It investigates line-item delivery issues and surfaces likely causes, generates custom reports and benchmark comparisons from prompts, and navigates users to the right part of the platform with filters pre-loaded. Every answer is grounded via RAG on the publisher's own first-party Ad Manager data. REST APIs and an MCP server are planned later this year.
What it does
Ask Ad Manager replaces manual ad-ops digging with conversation. Ask why a line item is under-delivering and it pulls the data, surfaces likely causes, and answers follow-ups; ask for a report and it builds it; ask where a setting lives and it takes you there with the right filters applied.
What you get
- Delivery troubleshooting with root-cause suggestions
- Custom reports, metrics, and benchmark comparisons from natural-language prompts
- Contextual navigation that loads the right screens and filters
- RAG grounding on your own first-party Ad Manager data
- REST APIs and an MCP server on the roadmap
Why it matters
Publishers and media teams live inside Ad Manager, and ad-ops troubleshooting is exactly the repetitive, multi-step work agents are good at. The planned MCP server matters most: it signals Google intends Ad Manager to be operable by your agents, not just its own.
